Antonio and Pia Dell'Aquila are married since many years, and
have two children, Daniela and Roberto, who bear with great patience
their parents' mania of postcard collecting!
Antonio and Pia live and work in Bari, a nice and big Italian
town (near 400.000 people live in Bari), that is the capital of
one the more rident regions of the South Italy, the Apulia, reach
of historical monuments and touristic attractions: trulli, grottos,
cathedrals, castles, museum, archeological areas and wide sandy
beaches and important tourist villages are the most interesting
touristic-cultural attractions all over the region.
Antonio received the MSc. degree in Electrical Engineering and
at present day he is full professor in Electrical Machines at the
Polythecnic University of Bari, where currently he is in charge
of courses on Power Electronics and Electrical Drives. He has been the head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
at the same Polythecnic.
He has published over 100 technical papers in the fields of electrical
machines models, inverter-fed induction machine performance, digital
signal processing for non-sinusoidal waveforms, control, monitoring
and diagnostic of ac drives. His research current interests include
power converters in renewable energy conversion systems, active
power filters, multilevel inverters and intelligent control of
power electronics equipment, harmonic pollution produced by electronic
power systems.
